Reach
Looking to reach people more likely to pay attention to your ads?
Use reach ads to distribute to the maximum number of people. This objective is similar to brand awareness, but it allows users to customize delivery details.
You will be charged for every 1,000 people the ad reaches.
Traffic
If you’re eager to get people off Facebook and onto your website, this is your answer.
This objective has a few different optimization choices which will correspond to the metric you choose to monitor. You can optimize your traffic ad for clicks, which will deliver it to the users who are most likely to click it. Or you can optimize it for landing page views, which will deliver the ad to the audience most likely to wait for the landing page to load.
Measure your success by monitoring the cost per unique click or the cost per unique landing page view based on which optimization method you choose.
Engagement
An engagement campaign can help drive more likes, comments and shares for your Facebook posts.
Engagements are helpful if your social media marketing strategy includes retargeting campaigns, otherwise they can be hard to prove value for.
You will be charged per engagement and can measure success by monitoring the cost per engagement.
Video Views
Video content is very valuable because Facebook will push video content more aggressively than posts that contain images or text.
There are three options to optimize delivery for video ads: 15, 10, and 2 second views, Facebook will deliver the ads to those most likely to view based on the length of the video.
When reviewing metrics for these campaigns, you can see how many people watched 25%, 50% or 100% of the video.
Conversions
Conversion ads allow you to more accurately measure the value of your Facebook ads.
Before launching a conversion ad, you need to install the Facebook pixel on your website and create a custom conversion in Facebook Ads Manager. This allows you to track the actions people take on your website after coming from Facebook. For example, if you want website visitors to fill out a form, you can place the pixel on the form confirmation page and track how many people who completed the form came from Facebook.
